Dealing with a relationship breakdown and the domestic problems arising as a result such as future financial security and arrangement in relation to the children within the relationship is never easy. Our experienced lawyers are here to offer sound advice and assist you in order to ensure that our clients achieve the best outcome for them and their children.
Parties now have to first explore mediation to resolve outstanding issues regarding financial matters and children in the event of a relationship breakdown before resorting to the courts (unless they are exempt from mediation). Please refer to our mediation section on our website for more information.
We assist our clients to issue divorce or judicial separation proceedings following the irretrievable breakdown of their civil partnership/marriage
Following the breakdown of a civil partnership/marriage, the issue of how the assets (if any) within the relationship are to be divided needs to be decided. We are able to assist our clients in order to secure the best financial outcome for them.
Victims of domestic abuse are vulnerable and require protection against their perpetrators. We are experienced in dealing with victims in an empathetic and patient manner whilst also assisting them with obtaining Non-Molestation order also known as Injunctions
We are able to assist clients who wish for an 'associated person' (usually a spouse or partner) to leave the home they once shared or clients who wish to return to the home having left or are worried that their spouse or partner may ask them to leave by obtaining an Occupation Order
Following relationship breakdowns where there are children within the family, issues such as which parent the children live with (Residence) and how much time the children spend with the non-resident parent (Contact) have to be resolved. We assist our clients in private law children proceedings
We act on behalf of parents where the relevant Local Authority indicates that it intends to issue or has issued care proceedings in respect of their children because they believe that the children have experienced or at risk of experiencing significant harm.
We represent clients who are privately funded but also hold a family legal aid contract and represent clients who are eligible for legal aid/public funding. As a result of changes to the legal aid which came into effect on 1st April 2013, the scope of areas for which legal aid is available has been significantly reduced and we therefore encourage prospective clients who wish to apply for legal aid to contact us on 020 7354 1444 for a brief discussion to find out whether they are eligible for legal aid/public funding.
We are committed to providing a high-quality legal service to all our clients. When something goes wrong, we need you tell us about it. This will help us to improve our standards.
