Fees & Legal Aid

Initial Consultation

We offer an initial face-to-face consultation with an experienced member of our legal team for £80.00.

During this meeting, we will discuss your case, advise you on your best options to resolve your problems and how we are able to assist you. We will also advise you on future costs and funding options available to you.

Fixed Fees and hourly rates

We are able to offer fixed fees and low hourly rates. You will be advised on cost estimate at the beginning of the matter and updated on regular basis so you can make the informed choice on how to conduct your case.

Conditional Fee Agreement

In a variety of cases we are able to offer a Conditional Fee Agreement. This means that you do not have to pay for our legal fees even if you are not successful.

Disbursements

These are costs incurred during conducting your case, which are not solicitor’s fees. They may include court fees, barrister’s fees or costs of expert evidence.

We will advise you on what disbursements can be expected in your matter and whether they can be waived.

Costs for the winning party

In civil matters (such as immigration or landlord and tenant disputes) which conclude in court, you may be able to recover your costs from the opposing party if you win your case.

Legal Aid for Housing Family Law Cases

We offer Legal Aid on family law and housing law matters.

We offer Legal Aid on family law and housing law cases to those clients who cannot afford to pay their legal costs. The funding is granted and paid by a government body named the Legal Aid Agency.

Legal Aid is available for only certain types of cases. In family law matters it is available if children services are seeking to remove a child from your care, or if you have been a victim of domestic violence. In housing matters, legal aid is available if you face homelessness because your landlord intends to evict you or because your accommodation is unsuitable because of disrepair or other reasons.

This is not an exhaustive list and the Legal Aid guidance on merit test are very complex. You can find more information on www.gov.uk/check-legal-aid however we advise that you contact us so our trained advisors can assess what type of help can be offered.
